Top 10 Favorite Stylish Looks With a Rattan Bag

  • by

I’d like to think that a rattan straw bag enhances just about any look. Charming, casual, and effortlessly elegant. Browsing the internet I came across some stylish, particularly effective combos. Check them out below!

1. Summer Whites

The first one up is super easy. Wear white. Flowy, breezy white cotton or linen are comfortable to wear in hot summer weather and much more classy than wearing a pair of gym shorts and a tank top.

2. Straw Hats

Stepping up, try a hat. Still have that straw fedora er, trilby from last summer? Dust it off and put it to use again. Better yet, find a wide-brimmed straw hat that actually offers some real protection from the sun.

3. Similar Colors

Here’s another example of a precious summer dress, with a zesty splash of orange that visually matches the color of the straw bag. I also really adore how this hat texturally ties the look together.

4. Gingham Dresses

Here’s a particular favorite of mine! Red gingham for me always evokes visions of a warm sunny day in the country. It makes every day feel like a picnic, which is why we use the fabric in our bags! Shameless plug, haha!

Take a look at this pretty summer dress! I really love how the bag pairs well with yellow gingham. Wait… yellow gingham huh? Hmmm, I feel an idea forming. What do you think?

5. Casual Shorts

The rustic appeal of rattan bags also makes it a natural pairing for casual outings too. I think the petite handbag and mini cut-off shorts in this example, sends a message, “I don’t need much, I got everything I want right here!”

6. Wear Denim

Denim is casual, rattan bags are casual. What more do you want?

7. Contrasting Color

I feel that the reason why I really love to match denim fabrics with rattan bags is the complementary pairing of blue and orange hues on the color wheel. Take for example this outfit with denim shorts and matching blue floral shirt. It really makes the brown-orange hues of the rattan stand out more to catch your eye!

8. Floral Dresses

Going from the flower pattern of the tropical shirt above and really blowing it up for effect, just take in this elegant photo outing, featuring the gorgeous flowing red floral dress. Stunning!

9. Autumn Style

Many of us may think of rattan bags as a summer-only fashion accessory, but it really doesn’t have to be the case. You can have an autumn ensemble such as wearing a long sky blue overcoat over earthy browns–blue and brown are complementary colors, remember–and the rattan bag will fit in just nicely. Look at how effortlessly the colors come together!

10. Town and Country

Go to town! An army jacket over city-black blouse and blue jeans look most at home in the city, but the basket bag brings along an echo of the rustic country or the tropical beach.
